Captain Ryan Christnovich, a USCG-certified captain, has been navigating the waters of Lake Michigan since childhood, first casting a line at the age of seven. With over 30 years of experience and a guiding career that began in 1999, he brings unmatched expertise to every trip. His deep knowledge of the lake ensures that anglers have the best chance of success, as he and his crew work tirelessly to put as many fish in the boat as possible.

Depending on the season, anglers can target a variety of species, including Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Chinook Salmon, and Coho Salmon. Fishing techniques primarily include trolling and bottom fishing, utilizing both light and heavy tackle to maximize the catch.

Families are welcome aboard, and children are encouraged to join in on the fun. If a child-sized life vest is needed, guests can check with the captain for availability. To keep energy levels up, bringing along snacks is recommended.

Fishing trips take place aboard a 30’ Pursuit motor yacht, offering comfortable space for up to six passengers. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, rods, reels, tackle, and lures, ensuring a fully prepared experience. Additional amenities include a toilet, air conditioning, and an icebox for convenience. A professional First Mate is also on board to assist throughout the trip, and a customary 10–20% tip is appreciated for their hard work.

Before setting out, all anglers must obtain a local fishing license. Certain species may have regulations or require special tags, so checking the latest requirements is advised. Guests should bring essentials such as hats, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but glass bottles and hard liquor should be avoided.
